Make your way to Oxford, Mississippi, January 20-22 for the 2nd annual Fiber Arts Festival! The festival is hosted by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council and Knit 1 Oxford, at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center. Live animals will be on site for demonstrations featuring artists that cultivate their own fibers from such fiber-bearing animals as: llamas, alpacas, goats, and bunnies. Due to the success of last year, an additional amount of classes and workshops have been added to the agenda. Classes for children are free, so bring the kids for an educational and artistic weekend. The festival will also coincide with the Powerhouse's annual fiber art exhibit. For registration and more information about the festival, please contact Knit 1 Oxford at (662)238-2829.
