best way to join yarn together in circular knitting.  I am learning to make a hat on circular needles but everytime I join the yarn together there is a gap. I pull the yarn as tight as I can but still there seems to be a gap (when I continue with my rounds there the area where I joined the yarn together there seems to be a hole). Please help are there any other ways that I can join the yarn together without having this gap?

hi laulee,

Could you be pulling the yarn too tight at this point?  You could be making the space more emphasized by doing this.  Try just relaxing and knitting as usual, the yarn should fill in the gap with the right tension and it will not be noticeable at all.

And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen.   Ex. 35:25
