Hi Kathleen,

I'm looking for a Christening blanket for a grandchild that is arriving at the beginning of July.  I know I want it to be white, but have not located any patterns.  can you help with this?  Any suggestions for where to look at patterns would be great.  Thanks,

Joline

The first place I'd look is Ravelry. You're only looking for a pattern, it doesn't matter what color the blanket is shown in.  Also, you might try square or circular shawls. There are some beautiful lace patterns that would make beautiful Christening blankets.

joline,

I am sending you the name of a pretty blanket in while (as well) that you may like.  I found it at Lion Brand.  It's called Baby's First.  Pattern No. is:  90428AD  http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/90428AD.html  You can pull it up and print directions if you like it.

And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen.   Ex. 35:25
