Mitered squares usually do a double decrease in the center, with possible matching increases/decreases on the ends depending on whether you are tapering, widening or maintaining your square/diamond at that point.

If you google search, or go to Ravelry.com you should find plenty of patterns to give you some ideas for your project.

hi judy,

Try this site for help http://www.ehow.com/how_5045455_knit-mitered-squares.html. I think you will be able to proceed after reading the info here.

How did that work out for you?
