Welcome. Due to a health issue which kept me in bed for a long time I began to knit also. I find it very relaxing and I feel as though I am producing something rather than laying in bed watching TV (gets old fast). I made a nice afghan, now working on two scarves for co-workers for when I am able to go back to work. My next project is an Army afghan, with a yellow star in the center and the words U.S. Army on the bottom. Can't wait to get the pattern in the mail and start it.
