I am a fairly new knitter and I am trying to knit a simple sweater (so I am told) and I have come to the point in the pattern where it says"
Divide for neck as follows:
Next row - pattern 22, turn and leave remaining sts on a spare needle. Decrease 1 st at neck edge on next 9 rows 13 stitches.
I am confused about turn - would someone clear this up for me. It might be simple to someone out there. I woudl hate to mess us the sweater as I have completed a fairly large amount of the sweater. Thank you so very much.
Turn your work just as you would if you were at the end of the row. So knit 22 sts, leave the remaining st unworked, switch the neele from your right hand to you left, decrease one st and work back. You can place the unworked st on a holder if you like. You'll get back to them later. Good luck with the sweater!
