And the winner is…. Caroline Morse of Sandown, New Hampshire! Caroline was selected from Handwoven readers that signed up for the weaving forums on KnittingDaily.com. She won the eco-cotton yarns featured in the September/October 2008 issue of Handwoven. Thanks to our suppliers for allowing us to pass on these yarns to a lucky reader: Nashua Handknits, Rowan, Ecobuterfly.com, Blue Sky Alpaca, O-Wool; Tahki Yarns, Chamomile Connection, Cotton Clouds, and Fox Fibre.
An experienced spinner, Caroline, kept "bumping" into weaving. Four years ago she took the plunge and bought a Harrisville floor loom. She learned to weave from Deborah Chandler's book Learning to Weave, as well as her video, Beginning Four-Harness Weaving. Recently she has enjoyed creating multiple patterns on one warp, mostly from Marguerite Davidson's A Handweaver's Pattern Book. A dedicated front-to-back warper, she is beginning to explore alternative warping methods after listening to an episode of WeaveCast on back-to-front warping. Congratulaion Caroline!

Another lucky winner will will the linen yarns from the November/December Yarn of the Hour. We will announce the winner in January, 2009.

Congrats Carolyn - you have a wonderful palette to work with in these yarns. Remember to let us know what you end up doing with them! Perhaps thats an unfair request- they would be lovely sitting in a pretty basket too.

I am a weaver and a "Handwoven" subscriber. What steps must I take to sign up for the weaving Forum and for a chance to win the linen yarns from yarn of the hour.
