Central Park Hoodie Closure

I think I posted this in the wrong place the first time so I'm including it here as well.

 Has anyone made this pattern with a zipper?  My daughter wants me to attempt this project but would like a zipper closure in the front.  It's more hip I guess than the button closure provided in the pattern.  Was just wondering if anyone had tried it and how it turned out.

I just finished my Central Park Hoodie and I put a zipper in mine.  I knitted a six stitch ribbing that I attached all the way around and stitched my zipper to this.  It came out awesome.  Hope this helps.
