The instructions say: K1, (K2tog) twice, yo, (K1, yo) 3 times, ssk twice. I get stuck after yarning over then knitting 1 three times. Do I yo 1 more time, then ssk?? Or, do I just ssk?? HELP! I can't move forward.
thanks!!
Good morning!
Lets just lay out the whole thing.
K1, K2tog, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, ssk, ssk.
When I get stuck on something that has brackets etc. until I get my brain around it and see the pattern begin to build I just write the whole thing out. When you lay it out like this you can see that after the k2tog there is a yo bracketing the k1 at each end with yo in between, its creating the lace. and the two ssk and k2tog, take the stitches back down to the correct count, with the stitches running the correct angle. Are you knitting a feather and fan pattern
Just follow the whole thing. It might be an idea to cast on a few stitches with scrap yarn and bigger needles and play with this pattern until you feel comfortable and you see the pattern develop.
Good luck hope this helps!
