How Do I do this with a Mohair Sweater

I have a Mohair sweater - well actually it is 70% Acrylic: 30% wool mohair. The sweater has fine mohair coming out of it making it look as if my hair is falling on it. Is there any way I can shave the hairs off this sweater? If so how?
