I am starting a top down sweater that begins with a provisional cast on of 64 stitches. The 1st round tells you to K2, M1 around. I understand how to M1 after I have a few rounds, but can't figure it out in the 1st round. How do I lift the strand of yarn to M1 when all I've done so far is cast on?
You could do a knit front and back (kfb) or you could do a make one away (M1A)
