binding off with p1 k2 pattern

cn anyone tell me the explaination to this binding off p1 k2..i only know the basic binding off

When binding off, you work two stitches before the BO stitch.  In this case, those two sts should be worked according to the established pattern (P1, K2).

 

So, to start...

P1, K1, BO1 then...

K1, BO1

P1, BO1

K1, BO1

K1, BO1 and so forth.
