 I am knew to this site and can anyone help me please

I am knitting my husband a cardigan and he would like me to line the inside

As I have never done this before I would appreciate any help

Also I need suggestions on what material to use

Please help

I've only done this once and the lining was a light silk material. I only lined the body of the cardi and not the sleeves.

I cut out a pattern from brown wrapping paper similar to this advice:

I found a more in depth discusion of the how-to here and this will give you more detail. The pleat at the back is a good idea and I would particularly think it good in a man's sweater.
