 Hey well im kind of new to knitting but learning the basics quite well and was wanting to try out a fairly simple hat, does anyone know of an easy pattern? all tips and advice welcome! cheers!Big Smile

 Get a cup (or glass as the case may be) of something good, go to this site and schnoodle away way too much time when you should probably be doing something productive. You'll find something you like here, just about guaranteed.

visit the fantastic Brooklyn Tweed (I think it's www.brooklyntweed.com) and check out his "turn a square" hat.  It's a perfect simple little hat and if you do the stripes you'll learn a great way to do stripes in the round.

Knitty.com is a really great resource for free patterns and interesting articles.  They "publish" online, monthly.  Go to their archive, and you can search for hat patterns, among others.

Actually, Knitty.com publishes quarterly. They do have some great hats in their archive.
