I used the yarn and the needles from the pattern. Invested a lot of money and my shawl, which just needs the Border is 50" by 22". The pattern says it is suppose to end up 76" by 37". I am soooo disappointed. I used the JaggerSpun 2/8. I used the size 4 needles. The directions said the one in the picture used these items. The one in the picture drapes across the chair, mine will be lucky to drape across my shoulders. I don't usually buy expensive yarn but fell in love with this pattern. What went wrong? There is no way my gauge is that far off. Please help!
I bet that if you look under finishing on the pattern it will say to block it. I don't know if you can get it to 150% its current size, but since you still need to do the border I suspect you can.
You did check to make sure you got the correct gauge?
There was no gauge offered unfortunately, but still using using the exact yarn and needles even if my gauge is off it could not be off 15 inches.
