local (and not so local) knitters have made "memory pillows" for the TAPS (see taps.org) good grief camp for the past 3-4 years and now all the kids have pillows and we are looking for something different to make.  we meet in the summer so hats, mittens etc are not smart and we would like to do something to help them deal with their grief.

TAPS is Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors and we work with the families of fallen soldiers to help them deal with the grief and rebuild their lives.  "Memory Pillows" are a small 8x10 inch pillow with a pocket that they can put a memory in and hug the pillow with they miss their HERO.

any and all suggestions are welcomed here or you can email me directly at annknits@gmail.com if you would like more info on TAPS or knitting for TAPS.

Support the Troops ... PRAY

thanks

ann
