I am almost finished the first sock and am also not thrilled with my wool choice with the striping but I am not stopping now.I could have used a more elastic cast-on too.I did my heel with the slip one knit one pattren rather that the plain knit as in the patten and am happy with the heel fit. I found the pattern simple to follow and I think I see the monkey's arms in the pattern. No one has enlightened me yet on why it is titled Monkey Socks so I am using my imagination.
