Those sample stars are so cute! Does anyone know how to knit them?
Susan! I agree... maybe Clara would tell us how!
I think they are really cute too. I have a good sized box of leftover bits that are just begging for a project like that. I'd love a pattern
Susan, I think I have figured out a pattern for the stars. It's a variation of the mitered square. Cast on an uneven number of stitches, say 31, Purl all wrong side rows,
on the right side k14 do a central double decrease, (slip two stitches as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the two stitches over), k14
continue with this sequence, knitting one fewer stitch before the double decrease each right side row until there are 15 stitches left on the needle
on the next right side row decrease 1 stitch at each edge continuing the double decrease in the center until there are 3 stitches, do a final double decrease, cut the yarn and pull it through the last stitch.
Make 5 pieces like this and sew them together at the decreased edges.
I haven't actually completed a star since I'm in the middle of two other projects right now, but I think this should work.
