I'm a young, yet, avid, knitter. My obsession with yarn began when I had a child loom about a decade ago. it broke, and got misplaced over the years. I'm interested in buying one again, but I'm wondering: are they worth it? How long of a peice can you knit on a generic lap loom? A full scarf, or just a towel sized scrap? Do they require normal, purchasable yarns, or do I have to buy the special refill packs that the companies are always trying to sell? the model I'm looking at is the harrisville 7.5 " easy weaver loom, but I can't find answers to these questions anywhere online. Does anyone have experience with them, or anything similar? If so, I'd love to hear from you!
