As a good auntie I volunteered to make an afghan for my niece. It is crocheted in one piece in afghan stitch, but coved in dragonflies--does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this look nice? The yarn does not easily carry.

Without seeing the pattern/ feeling the yarn...my only suggestion is to ask if you could applique/ embroider the dragonflies on after you finished the afghan (plain)? If no one is happy w/ that idea...maybe you can do a small swatch + convince them w/ the actual thing!!!
