I am hoping someone could direct me to a simple round circle vest pattern. One with a very open pattern.
Hi Lindakerr,
The Botanica Medallion cardi is shown on the front cover of VOGUEknitting Spring/summer 2009 . The layout pictures on pp. 55, 56 give construction tips. It starts with a center medallion piece and worked outward from there. If you don't have the mag or your libarary doesn't, you can see the pattern on line at their site. It's Pattern No. 4 in the above-mentioned issue. It is knit in Blue Sky Alpacas' "Skinny Dyed" organic cotton. Hope this helps.
And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen. Ex. 35:25

Hi...
These 1st 2 are actually jackets...but they are in a circle. If they appealed...just omit the sleeves + work an edging around the armhole.
The Pinwheel sweater is fr Elann.com....I printed off the patt awhile back. Designed by Shelley Mackie, it comes in womens thru childrens szs. I went to find the link for you...but you need to sign up (free) to see all their free patts now. I did find someone's pic of a childs online so you could see. I just didn't want to bother signing tonite:

Can you crochet? If so this vest fr garnstudio.com might interest. I've seen it online done "firmer" so it's not as long in the back:

Another garnstudio/ crochet one....smaller:

You might want to check out www.garnstudio.com yourself...they have thousands of free patts in many languages. Every time I look there I end up printing something. Tonite's was a beautiful circle jacket w/ a flower in the center of the back:

Another good site to find items that are just a bit unusual: shapes/ etc...is www.knitty.com also free patts. They have patts that are quite classic as well too.
Hope you find something that suits you....Andrea

Hi linda,
Thank you! It's so nice to hear that word and to know that you were helped. Post a picture when you finish your vest? We would love to see it.
Hi.....
Not sure if you're still interested but I just saw a pic of this vest in an ad ( Interweave Crochet/ Summer 2010). I still don't know if you crochet either...but thought this was a cute little vest. Very open/ easy looking patt ....+ it's free too!!!
