Hello,

I'm having problems with row 7 and i hope you could help me out. The way i'm reading it is that you do two hdc and chain 1 in each chain 1 space. When i did that i get 64 hdc not 44 hdc that is on the pattern. Could you tell me if i'm doing it right?

Hi Debbie,

I think that a little more information is needed from you before we can help you.  We need the name of the item you are knitting, and the web link to the pattern.  If you don't have the web link, tell us where you got the pattern and the exact name of it.  This way we can search the web for it.  What size are you knitting the item?  In order to know how to answer your question, we have to know the pattern and read it for ourselves.  (Chuckles here, because sometimes us knitters only think we have supplied the information needed, but more is often needed.)  Is this the shawl?  It is crocheted??

Tonight is New Year's Eve and many people will be away from their computers so a reply may take a while.  Be patient and perhaps once you give us the information, another knitter will recognize that he/she has actually made this item before, and will give valuable insite to your problem.

What stuff do you like to knit and how long have you been knitting?  I have been knitting off and on for about 40 years.  I started with socks on dpns and now I always have a pair going on my needles waiting for me to pick them up.
