I want to make an afghan that calls for a discontinued worsted weight yarn (Fleisher or Bear Brand) that came in 4 oz. skeins. How many yards would that be per skein? and what is the equivalent weight in grams? Tha pattern is vintage Woman's Day by Jacqueline Henderson.
Any input will be appreciated.

I think someone answered this for you on another post??? If not, then here is one solution. Take the pattern (magazine) down to your local yarn store and get the clerk there to assist you in getting a yarn substitute and the right amount of skeins. What color did you have in mind? and what is the name of the pattern?
