                              JUNE 7 & 8, 2008 from 10 AM – 5 PM

Enjoy a day at a fiber farm or fiber studio in the beautiful East Mountain area of Enchanted NEW MEXICO!
Only a short drive east of
Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will have an opportunity to visit the farms who raise fiber animals including Huacaya alpacas, sheep, Angora goats, llamas and Angora Rabbits. Meet with breeders of these incredible fiber animals and ask your questions about the fiber animals or the fiber animal business.
See the animals in person, touch and feel the fiber that they provide.
Visit the fiber studios and meet the fiber artists who use their talents in creating beautiful handwoven garments and home decorating items.
Meet the artist who makes one-of-a-kind hand crafted glass buttons to adorn the finished handwoven, knitted and crocheted garments.
There will be many fiber related items for sale at each tour location including yarn, roving, drop spindles, handwovens, livestock, raw fleeces, animal related jewelry, hand knitted and crocheted garments, knitting looms, goat’s milk soaps, and lavender products. Bring your cameras and children to see one of the many on going demonstrations including spinning, weaving, knitting and dyeing.
Come out, join in the fun, breathe in the fresh mountain air and marvel at the landscape of the
East Mountain area for this educational, exciting annual event.
