I tried to knit a afghan without a pattern and got a little (lot) carried away casting on, I did realize it until I casted off.  This afghan is twice as long as it needs to be.  Can I fold it in half , stitch a border around it and call it a day?

Hi njajbare,

You can do this if you want a heavy afghan.  What is better for you to do is to rip it out to the length you need it to be and then cast off.  Or you can cast off and leave it as it is and use it for a queen size bedspread.  Will it fit onto a bed, or is it too big for that?  You dont say what the final size of your afghan is.  What is the purpose of your afghan??  if you can use it as is for something else then it is all good -- you wont have to adjust the size of the afghan, only what the purpose of it was.

Happy knitting, Zoë Smile
