I'm an American expat living in Western Australia the past 8 yrs. I spin, dye, knit and do needlepoint.

There are groups knitting at Borders in Perth, many women knitting for charity, and immersed in fleece, colors, fibers, and tools...at 74 I find there is always another something to make and with only 2 hands it's hard to keep up with what the heart wants to do.

Good to see someone from Australia, just read a great book :In a sunburned country, could not put it down and hated to see the last page.  I am 75 and feel old compared to the new crafters, thank goodness for them, they are keeping the crafts going with such wonderful ideas. I am trying to do more in the time I have left,so much interesting things to do.
