This will be my first knit-along.  Hopefully I'll get it right!  Are there any rules about posts, or anything I need to know?  I'll be visiting my local yarn shop later to see what I can find.

I'm amazed that others actually voted the same way I did!  Surprise Never has happened before.  I love this project!  --Wendy

I got this pattern a few years ago and have some dark blue cotton twist to do it in.  I had no idea cotton twist was discontinued!  I'm sorry now I waited so long to do this!  I'm also doing another short-sleeved pullover currently, but I'll just have to do both at the same time, so thanks for the generous time allowance!

For my size (38.5--although I fall between this size and the 34.5--I am 36.5) I ordered 6 skeins of Linsey and 4 of Glint.

I think I'm reading the pattern correctly, because if you look at the picture you need the glitzy (my Glint) yarn for the neck, sleeves and bottom trim.

Don't drop out--there are a lot of first timers joining this KAL!

And the yarn requirements could have been written more clearly in the pattern.

Excited about this choice! -- I've wanted to make the Bella Blouse for a very long time.  I've never done a knit-along, so perhaps this will give me the necessary kick!  But.... I'm thinking to knit this up in the round (excessive aversion to seams!).  Off to find yarns in my stash.... (possibly even the original cotton twist and touche)!

I am anxious to get started on this beautiful project and look forward to learning a lot of new things.

Hi Carol, I just looked at my back issues of IW as well and also checked the IW Pattern Index - no such pattern.

http://www.knitfinder.com/interweave-knits-patterns.php

The pattern index does not list a bella blouse by Norah Gaughan or even anything that matches made of the berrocco twist.

I have years of magazines saved - expensive magazines, and now we have to go and buy the pattern?????

Come on Kathleen can you help a knitter out please and reference the correct magazine or designer or?????

If you read the prior posts, you'll see that the pattern was offered as a download, under a different name, in the issue that has been referenced.

I'm not finding the pattern in this issue either.  Is the incorrect issue posted OR I wonder if the original was published on site only.  Can someone confirm this?  I would rather use my saved magazine issue if I have it.  Thank you.

Hi Lisa:

I'll scan the pattern for you but I'll have to send it via regular email. Please let me know when/if you get it.

Regarding the pattern being included in the spring 2007 issue of Interweave Knits:

The pattern was only mentioned in the magazine, it was not actually included. (Thanks, Kelleigh, for pointing this out to me!) The design was a limited-time download and is now only available in the Knitting Daily Store.

So sorry for the confusion; I'm going to see if I can get the reference to the spring 2007 issue taken out of the store description.

Thank you Kathleen for mentioning the pattern was not 'in' the 2007 issue!  I will download it now.

I am excited to participate in this knit a long - I dug through my stash and found 6 skeins of Berroco softwist, which is a shiny wool/rayon - I may have to add more lace on the bottom for my size, but how fantastic!  Since I live in AK its always cold here anyways, so the wool part doesn't bother me.
