I am not new to knitting...but I cannot seem to "get" this pattern??? What am I doing wrong...I feel that I am over thinking this, maybe.

And I'm guessing you're talking about "The Basic Entrelac Scarf" by Lisa Shroyer from this site? If not...let me know what patt you are using, OK?
I'll try + help if you give me more to go on.
Just noticed a penciled-in note on my copy of that patt. The Entrelac Tuturial By Eunny Jang is in "Spring 2007" of IK. If you have, or can borrow that issue it might help too. Library maybe?
