I saw a thread about the Spring issue, but didn't find one for the Summer issue.  I've been lurking for awhile, but here I go - feet first!

I liked quite a few patterns, the one I'm making now is the Amelia Hoodie.  It's so cute - except that there are no sleeves.  If I'm going to cover my head, my arms are going to be cold too.  I'm using Brown Sheep's Cotton Fleece, main color Blue Paradise, contrast color is Nymph, and I bought 4 extra skeins.

Long story short, I'm inventing sleeves.  They're are picked up along the shoulder edge, worked in short rows, joined under the arm, decreased, and worked to 3" above where they should end.  I have knitted patches (2 for each sleeve) that I joined by pulling the live stitches through the backs of the cast-off stitches (like the body was picked up!) and bound off loosely.  The effect is awesome!  I'm documenting the whole process, and can make it available.  Is there a formal way to do this here?
