Help me choose a hat to knit for my sister! (View the choices here.)
The toque. It's stylish, lovely and looks like it might be flattering for most face types. And if you need another sister...
Make the toque as it should be quicker and your sister will need a hat double quick.
Where do I get the pattern? I like it because it has an overhang at the front to keep of the snow and drizzle which is great when you have glasses like I do.
My vote is for the welted toque, too. It's so classic in design and could be dressy or casual.
I like the toque ... it is a unique style and should blend well with any wardrobe.
I love the everdeen beanie - the shell pattern is gorgeous, and the color in the example is also very pretty. But all are going to be gorgeous! :)
Hats are so quick maybe you could make her all three so she can change depending on her outfit!
I say the toque as well, its a bit elegant and very stylish and I'd be willing to step in as your sister as well. 8)
It's a no-brainner: The TOque. As everybody already pointed out, it is simple but elegant, stylish but not overly fashion, flattering to all face types, and looks like it is faster to knit than the others. If your sister is coming in ten days, you need to finish this hat ASAP!!!!
FNC,
Get the pattern in "Weekend Hats" by Cecily Glowik MacDonald and Melissa Labarre. You may be able to find it at your local library. If not, It's bought cheaply enough at Amazon.com

I really like the look of the toque. In fact, I'm probably going to purchase weekend hats because of it. I'm always looking for a great pattern to make.
The toque - and you could make one for me too while you are at it. I'm still doing the KAL from 2 projects ago!!!
I absolutely love the elegant simplicity of the toque! It looks so versatile and classic. I have trouble wearing hats that are anything other than big and floppy (dreadlocks), but if I could fit it on my hair, that's the one I'd choose for myself. It's beautiful!
