Welted Toque
I like the Everdeen Beenie. I, too, have been knitting hats this year (GMTA) and I like the lace ones (although most of the hats that I have made are for men). I like the Topiary one too, although the lace on just the front of the hat means that I would need to pay attention to how I put it on!!! I would probably run around with it on backwords most of the time!!!
The toque would be the most flattering to any face. . .and it's quite unique.
I voted for the Welted Hat because I think it will be awesome to say the least but it will maybe reminder her of Egypt in that colour the model is wearing.
I vote the toque as well..it seems it could so easily be "customized" with a bulky yarn, or a wider edge or a variegated yarn or any combination of these ideas !
I vote for the toque as well, like it because it is unique!
The toque looks warmest - she will need warm!
I agree with many of the knitters here -I vote for the toque. It's simple and stylish! It also looks nice and warm.
The Everdeen
I can see the Tipiary hat being very versitile.. Almost looks like it can almost be worn as a slouch or tam by moving it around a bit.
The Topiary will keep her ears warmer but still has a bit of lacey decoration to make it feminine.
Toque. I like it so much I will try to get the pattern to make for my daughter. It is sophisticated and charming at the same time.
I voted for the topiary hat because it has just that little bit of lace to make it stand out from the crowd. Of course you won't go wrong no matter which hat you choose. They are all lovely. I bought the book, and I must say, there isn't a pattern in there that I am not dying to make.
the welted toque
I voted for the toque. It just so simple yet very stylish! She will look great in this one!
