The Welted Toque gets my vote as well. It should knit up fast and looks like a style that would flatter any age. I have this book and so far have only knitted the men's toque, which turned out to look impressively like the photos: a rare feat for me. This book is a must have! I hope your sister appreciates your beautiful knitting. Why can't my sisters be crafty?
The toque is adorable. Knit that!
Definitely the Welted Toque - in fact, I think I may have to make one of those myself!
Hi, Voting for the Toque. Is stylish and subtle. I'd use colorful Eygptian colors to remind her of Eygpt. She'll be thrilled. A matching scarf too.
The Everdeen Beanie!!
Love the "welted" one - so stylish and different and a little like the "roaring '20's"
Everdeen Beanie looks interesting.
I really like the welted toque too!
Definitely the toque, Kathleen. What a great hat! Susan
definitely the toque! it's awesome and carries a fab sense of style!
The Welted Toque is simple, yet stylish and bit different. Go for it!
The Everdeen Beanie in a sand color. This would help her remember the sand dunes of the deserts she saw in Egypt.
I like the everdeen beanie.
I thought the everdeen was very pretty and a little more exotic looking.
