Knit 4 rows - then knit 4/purl 4 the next 4 rows. that's it. what can I do? I tried posting the other day but no one responded. please help. I am a new knitter

Hi!

If this pattern isn't repeated you'll have a long stretch of something that looks almost like a frill - knit stitches lie flat, but the ribbing stitches (k4, p4) will draw the stitches in so that the knit stitches below are weakly ruffled.

If this pattern is repeated over and over again, you'll end up with a ruched effect.

What are you making?

Hi Joule,

What is the NAME of your pattern?  Or, where is it online somewhere?

And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen.   Ex. 35:25
