The Top 5: The Best of Interweave Knits Readers' Choice Awards

IntermediateLast year, when we published The Best of Interweave Knits: Our Favorite Designs from the First Ten Years, we knew we had a fabulous collection—but we also knew that it was only a matter of time before our readers chimed in, telling us that we'd left out THEIR favorite design. Some of the emails were quite eloquent in explaining why one design or another ought to have been included; some were simple, heartfelt stories about how a particular pattern had touched someone's life.
So we decided to ask you: What patterns did you, our readers,
think were the "Best of Interweave Knits"? We sorted
through thousands of nominations (omitting only those
already published in the Best of Knits book) and tabulated
the results until we got your Top 10 designs. Then, we
asked you to vote for the ONE design you thought was your
"Best of Knits." From those votes, we compiled the Readers'
Choice Awards Top 5. Five designs, all demonstrating the highest standards of talent
and design excellence. We congratulate Norah, Evelyn,
Stefanie, and Kate on their amazing work; we thank them for
their wonderful contributions to the craft we all love so dearly.
