I’ve always been fascinated by Faroese shawls, those lovely,
winglike garments devised by the women of the Faroe Islands over a
hundred years ago. These shawls drape gracefully over your shoulders;
their ingenious shoulder shaping ensures that they stay in place as you
move about. This shawlette is easier to knit than you might think, and
the yarn is more wonderful to work with and to wear than you can
imagine.
The Comfort Shawl, a similar Faroese Isle design is also available on Knitting Daily!
