Cropped, fitted, jacket knit in a thick-and-thin yarn for texture. Cables hide the waist shaping.

Finished Size 28½ (33, 36½, 41, 44½, 49)" bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 33", modeled with slight ease.
Yarn Aslan Trends Del Sur (100% merino wool; 87 yd [80 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #154 oro (yellow), 6 (6, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins.
Needles Size 15 (10 mm): straight and 16" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle; three ¾" buttons.
Gauge 10 sts and 15 rows = 4" in St st; 6 sts of cable = 1½" wide.

  1. I’m knitting this and have gotten to the finishing part and wonder if there is an error or if I have made a mistake. I’ve checked the corrections and see no entry. On the neck trim it says to place 3 held stitches on the needle and pick up only 3 more before adding held stitches on the back to the needle. There is approx. 6 inches between the two; way too much distance for only 3 stitches!!? Any help out there?
