This sweet trio of mittens is a subtle way to make the whole family match. Worked in fingering-weight wool with lined cuffs, the Latvian Mitten Family was made to keep wearers’ fingers warm.

Difficulty Level: Easy

 Finished Size 5 (7, 9)” hand circumference and 6 (10¼, 11¾)” long.

Yarn Brooklyn Tweed Loft (100% targhee-columbia wool; 275 yd [251 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): barn owl (brown; MC), 1 skein. Size 5″ only: homemade jam (red; CC1), 1 skein. Size 7″ only: tartan (teal; CC2), 1 skein. Size 9″ only: birdbook (green; CC3), 1 skein.

Needles Size 2 (2.75 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); waste yarn; tapestry needle.

Gauge 32 sts and 38 rnds = 4″ in charted patt.
