Just in case your collection of sock knitting patterns was running a bit low, we’ve released our six sock patterns to knit from Sockupied Fall 2014 as individual pattern downloads!
Our featured designer, Lucy Neatby, whipped up these incredible True North DK socks. Worked using the double-knitting technique and wildly variegated yarn, these reversible cuff-down socks are show stoppers!
Maria Leigh’s Daisy Field Socks are a great use of both variegated and solid yarn. A simple cluster stitch in these cuff-down socks helps to keep the variegated yarn from pooling and makes a pretty textured fabric.
The Time Traveler socks by Jennifer Raymond adapt a vintage lace pattern into a sweet, contemporary pair of socks. A picot-hem at the cuff adds elegance to these toe-up socks.
Our One Sock, Two Ways pattern for this issue was the Lida Rose Socks designed by Anne Podlesak. Slipped stitches break up the a variegated yarn while adding textural interest to semi-solid colors in these top-down socks.
Finally, Kate Atherley aimed to design perfectly long-lasting hand knit socks with her Enduring Socks. Worked from the top down in an easy broken rib stitch pattern, these socks feature reinforced heels and toes.
