Yarn Zealana Performa Rimu DK (60% fine merino, 40% brushtail possum; 140 yd [128 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #R25 kura berry (red; MC), 4 (4, 4, 5) balls; #R12 dark napo (black; CC), 1 ball.

Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm): 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 24 sts and 32 rnds = 4″ in St st.
