What is Knitting Daily? |
- Knitting Daily is the new online knitting community, pattern library, and newsletter brought to you by Interweave Press, publishers of Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Spin-Off, and Interweave Crochet magazines, as well as a lot of really cool knitting books.

I can't log in? Where is my password? |
- Your password was included in your confirmation email. If you've already tossed that email, go ahead and click the "lost password" link, and a new one will be sent to you!

I know I'm subscribed, but I can't download patterns! What's the problem?
|
- Please make sure you are logged in. The login link is located at the top right hand side of every page, in the teal bar.
Sometimes, your computer forgets who you are (That's non-technical speak for "your cookie has become corrupt"), or you may have changed your password.
Please LOG OUT and LOG BACK IN. (The link is in the top right teal bar.) This will reset the cookie, and the annoying Join Now screens should go away.

It says I'm logged in, but I can't download patterns. |
- If you've changed your password, you will need to log out and log back in.
(Your computer may still be trying to use your old password)

I'm still having problems logging in/accessing the site! |
- OK, we'll work through this! Do you have a firewall?
Sometimes, we use words that firewalls will block. Imagine the problems with our "bust-dart" post, and you can see how sometimes we might get flagged. If you have access to the settings, add us to your list of acceptable sites.

ARG! I'm still having problems!
|
- Don't Panic!
Use the contact form and send us the following information:
What operating system you are on (Windows XP, Mac OSX, etc);
What browser you are using (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc);
What time you had the problem
What you were doing (i.e. tried to download Tomato pattern, tried to post a comment, etc.).
Also include any errors you received. This information will help us track down the problem.

- No, Knitting Daily is community site, and is independent of the magazines, books and online store websites.
Currently, you will need to sign up and/or log in separately when visiting our other sites.

How do I get the free patterns? |
- Sign up! Members get unlimited access to the free pattern library, as well as other nifty benefits, like a newsletter, previews of magazine and book patterns, and much more.

Why can't I see images and/or ads? |
- You may need to turn off any ad blockers on your browser or firewall. Please check the help tab on the top right hand of your browser's main program window for more information.

I don’t want a daily email. Can I get it weekly instead? |
- We currently do not offer a weekly digest of Knitting Daily. You may elect to view the thrice weekly editorial posts online instead. You can modify your email settings in your account panel.
Please note: The promo emails send on Tuesday and Thursday are not archived on the website.

I don’t want to sign up for the newsletter--I just want the free patterns. |
|
- OK! You still have to be a member of Knitting Daily to download the free patterns, which means signing up. As a member, you’ll receive the Knitting Daily newsletter…but no one says you have to read it! Delete the newsletters, filter them into your trash—but keep the one with your password in it so you can still get to the free pattern library! And maybe read a random newsletter every now and then, just to make sure you aren’t missing something you might really enjoy.
Of course you can opt out in your account panel, but we hope you won't!

| I'm getting two copies of Knitting Daily, I really only need one. |
- Check the email address in each newsletter. Some folks have signed up using multiple email addresses. Sign into the account you no longer wish to have you mail the newsletter, and uncheck all the boxes and CHECK the Global Promo List Opt-Out.

Some of the emails are not blog posts. What’s going on? |
- When you sign up for Knitting Daily, you will receive five emails a week (one each weekday). Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays you will get Sandi’s blog posting (also known as Editorial Emails) sent to you.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, you will receive cool information about Interweave books, magazines, and events that may be of interest to you. These are known ad Promo Emails.
By logging into your account, you can choose which type of email you wish to receive.

Who is Sandi and why is she sending me email? |
- Sandi is Sandi Wiseheart, your faithful editor and cheerleader of the Knitting Daily community. She’s the one who writes the blog posts, chooses the patterns, reads your emails, and keeps the Knitting Daily ball rolling. She’s sending you email to keep you up-to-date on all the swell things happening in the Knitting Daily universe.

Why do I keep getting sent to a separate subscription page when I download a pattern?
|
- Knitting Daily is an extension of Interweave Knits, Interweave Crochet, Knitscene and Spin-Off. I kind of think of these invitations to subscribe to our magazine like those (annoying) subscription cards that fall out of your magazine. It's our way of reminding you that Knitting Daily is only a small part of a much larger Interweave world!

Are all the patterns on Knitting Daily new, or have they been previously published? |
- Both! We’ll be publishing new, never-before-seen patterns exclusive to Knitting Daily as often as we can. In addition, we’ll be bringing you the best patterns from Interweave’s extensive back library of knitting books and magazines, both for sale in our Knitting Daily Store and for free in the Knitting Daily Pattern Library. There’s a lot of sold-out books and magazines in our vault. We want you to have all the best of the old patterns as well as the new.

I'm on WebTV or MSNTV2, and can't access the patterns. |
- According the the folks at MSNTV2 (formerly WebTV), you can not download or view .pdfs via their browser.
Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing number of patterns, and the amount of detail required to provide a comprehensive pattern, a .pdf document delivery system is our best option for delivering patterns. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

- Well, while it's OK to love the pattern, but we would really prefer that only members of Knitting Daily download the patterns. Of course, all of the members of your knitting club/guild/class/organization are welcome to sign up for free!

- Yes! Yes! Yes! In fact, we have some swell Knitting Daily buttons for you to download, We just ask that you don't post any content including patterns and other images on your site, as all items on this site are subject to copyright (see below)
