Behind the Scenes at the Knitscene Fall 2016 Photoshoot!

Take a step behind the scenes to see how we made the knitscene Fall 2016 issue!  Some days in the Interweave offices are filled with emailing and coordinating with yarn companies and designers…  and other days we get to enjoy the sun and jump on a trampoline in some of the most awesome knit patterns you’ve ever seen! Our jobs can be pretty darn awesome!

It took some coordinating to create the incredible photos you see in the Aloft section of knitscene Fall 2016.  To get our models flying, it took a really big field, some beautiful Colorado sunshine, the assembly of a huge trampoline, models with excellent jumping skills, a very talented photographer, and an editor, assistant editor, and graphic designer throwing and gathering almost 300 plastic balls over and over again. Needless to say, we had a blast.

The magazine’s designer takes her turn on the trampoline while the models change.  A model drops onto the trampoline and disappears! The photographer’s assistant getting some serious air.

We were all a little tired (and sunburned) on Day 2 of the shoot after all that jumping and flying through the air.

There are so many fantastic projects in this issue! From all of us who worked on knitscene Fall, we hope you love the issue as much as we loved making it! Which project has you most excited to cast-on?
