Colorwork mittens with a slanting stranded colorwork pattern. Corrugated rib at the edges and a decorative colorwork chart along the wrist add visual interest.

Finished Size 7½ (8½, 9½)" hand circumference and 10¼ (10¾, 11¼)" long. Mittens shown measure 7½".
Yarn Elemental Affects Natural Shetland Fingering (100% wool; 118 yd [108 m]/28 g): mioget (off-white; MC) and fawn (light brown; CC1), 2 skeins each; emsket (charcoal gray; CC2), 1 skein.
Needles Size 2 (2.75 mm): set of 5 double-pointed (dpn), or two circulars (cir), or one long cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

These cute and colorful mittens are worked in the round from a Latvian braid edge. Two-color stranded colorwork is easy to work in the traditional motifs, and duplicate stitch accents added after finishing create another layer of fun color.
