Surprise and delight any child with a handknit hobby horse. This quick to knit project is perfect for gift giving and playing with new color combinations.

Finished Size 15½ " long and 12" circumference when stuffed.

Yarn Berroco Peruvia (100% Peruvian Highland wool; 174 yd [160 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #7104 oats (MC), #7194 profunda (teal; CC1), #7195 baya (purple; CC2), #7122 avocado (green; CC3), #7192 sol (yellow; CC4), #7110 naranja (orange; CC5), and #7191 pimienta (red; CC6), 1 skein of each color.

Needles Size 10 (6 mm): set of 4 double-pointed (dpn). Size 7 (4.5 mm): 2 dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook; polyester fiberfill; broom handle or dowel rod.

Gauge 16 sts and 19 rnds = 4" in St st. Gauge is not that crucial for this project.
