This crossover is achieved by working into the purl bumps behind the stitches
on the needle. The instructions for placing the right-side purl bumps onto the
holder are at the bottom of the first column on page 86, and the instructions
for placing the left-side purl bumps onto the holder are at the top of the
center column of the same page. Nothing needs to be done to these 6 (7, 7, 12,
15, 19) stitches until the back is worked (top of 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; column): With
the WS facing, place the left-side stitches, the back stitches and the
right-side stitches onto needle.&lt;/p&gt;
