Braided Hood Tunic

An experienced-level vest featuring hood, waist shaping, and cable patterns. the tunic length lower body is tailored with body shaping, while set-in armholes and shoulder shaping maintain the fitted look. Short-rows are used throughout.

Finished Size 32¼ (37, 40¾, 45½, 49¼, 54)" bust circumference. Tunic shown measures 37", modeled with about 3" positive ease.
Yarn Spud & Chloë Sweater (55% superwash wool, 45% organic cotton; 160 yd [146 m]/100 g): #7506 toast, 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 9) skeins. Yarn distributed by Blue Sky Alpacas.
Needles Body and hood—size 8 (5 mm): 24" circular (cir). Edging—size 7 (4.5 mm): 16" and 24" cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge 17 sts and 25 rows = 4" in rev St st on larger needle; 18 sts and 32 rows = 4" in seed st on smaller needles; 14 sts of Left Open Cable, Right Open Cable, and Center Cable charts measure 2¼" wide on larger needle.
