Turned-Cable Cardigan

A swingy, criss-cross shape and soft spun yarn whip up into a warm and cozy cardigan. A large cable adds interest to the border. Sweater is knit in pieces with cable added after seaming.

FINISHED SIZE 383⁄4 (44, 48, 531⁄4, 57)" bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 383⁄4".
YARN Classic Elite Yarns Ariosa (90% extrafine merino, 10% cashmere; 87 yd [79 m]/13⁄4 oz [50 g]): #4855 russet, 11 (12, 14, 15, 16) balls.
NEEDLES Size 101⁄2 (6.5 mm): 16" and 29" circulars (cir) and two double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
NOTIONS Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holder; tapestry needle; 1" square piece of medium-weight interfacing; one 11⁄2" button.
GAUGE 14 sts and 20 rows = 4" in St st; 22 sts of Cable Border chart = 31⁄4" wide.
