westiechick - Thanks for confirming the edging!  I have been noodling this for the past hour and finally figured out that you could only connect every other row of the chart to the shawl at the RED k2tog.  I wasn't postivie until I saw your post, so THANKS!

@goldenrodfarm This confused me too until the penny dropped - as it may have already done for you. It's not a pattern error - the Edging is worked at RIGHT-angles to the Lace Panel and Inner Triangle. You're working back and forth across the 15 st, not repeating the Edging chart over the 193 st of the shawl body. Where you see the RED k2tog in the chart, you're back at the edge of the shawl body and knitting together ONE st from the shawl body edge (one of the 193 st), and ONE st from your 15 st. Each chart repeat will connect it to 3 of the 193 st of the shawl body edge, until they're all used up and you have a gorgeous shawl in your hands. Hope that makes sense :-)

We are having a problem with the edging instructions. the next row instructions say to work Row 1 of edging chart over 15 st. Working the last st of edging tog with 1 shawl st, 1 dec. Cont in pat until rows 1-6 of edging chart have been worked 64 times with 16 stiches remaining.  Doing 6 rows of the chart will end up with over 400 stiches plus the 16 stiches on each side, is this an error in the pattern?

I just started this shawl yesterday and I'm using Lotus Mimi. Though it may end up taking 2 skeins to complete......

Bought magazine just for this shawl but apparently you can't find this yarn. Does anyone know where this yarn can be purchased?

The shawl takes approximately 460 yards (421m) of fingering weight yarn.

Hope this helps!

I love this shawl, and it is on the top of my queue, but I wish I knew the yardadge used.  Since the yarn used isn't widely available, I wanted to find a suitable substitute, and it looks like the pattern isn't available on Ravelry yet.
