I am having the same problem as jenneleemartineau. She described the problem exactly. The count is wrong on the pattern. I purled 24 stitches rather than the 25 in the instructions in order to make this work. I don't know yet if there are any other errors in the pattern. A fix for this has still not appeared in the corrections section of the website. Please publish a correction Interweave folks.

I had the same problem as others - stitch count is not correct in going from lace center to palm.

It swould be helpful to have a schematic, or even a narration to tell what is happening as I move out from the lace. I can't visualize what I am doing.

When turning, is it a "wrap and turn" which would add a stitch, or a straight "turn".

Love the looks of the mitts and am eager to get it right! I ripped it out twice already, and hate to give up.

Please help?

Finished the back of hand lace chart. I knit to the last stitch the places previous 25 stitches on a holder. I used that last remaining stitch to knit into for the knitted cast on. I cast on 27 stitches. Making that 28 stitches on right hand needle and the remaining 79 stitches (not inluding ones on the holder) on three other needles.

SET UP ROW: (RS) I then knit 26 of the 28 and SSK the last two stitches together. 27 left.

ROW 1: Now I turn. I am looking at the (WS) and only 27 stitches on the needle. I am supposed to slip one stitch then purl 25, then p2tog. That would require 28 stitches but I only have 27?? What am I doing wrong?

I'm at the end of the last row, knit round,  of the lace pattern. The pattern says to end one stitch before end of round.

Place last 25 stitches on a holder does that include the 26th stitch not worked or do I not put that stitch on a holder?

I think the first two stitch counts are incorrect.  For the back of hand, shouldn't the first stitch count be 78, not 104?  After casting on an additional 27, there would be a total of 105, not 106 stitches?
