This is a standard double-down triangular shawl. The ground pattern is garter stitch, so knit every row. You can also use stocking stitch as well for some variety. Alternate with any lace pattern (here: [K2tog, YO] or [YO, SSK]) worked in bands as desired. Any sideways garter stitch edging will work to finish off. The beauty comes from using a good yarn with lots of drape, and slightly larger needles than normal.

This pattern is avialable, along with several others, in the book "knit.wear Spring 2013" for sale at Interweave Press for $14.99 right now.

There's nothing that makes me crazier than when I find a pattern I like on ravelry and can't purchase it!
