An outdoor coat for a little boy.

I was going for a sort of "little boy dressed like a grown-up" look, like the Industrial Age. I seem to have achieved a British look.

The brown edgings are all crochet, while the main green part is all simple stocking stitch. The back and two front pieces are seamed, and then the sleeves picked up and knitted in the round on double pointed needles. (I absolutely hate seaming sleeves and trying to get them into an armscye, so methods that involve constructing the sleeves in one step are my favourites.)

I hope to tackle some more sleeve making methods soon.

Hi Alexandra,

Very nice little coat. It looks just warm enough to keep out brisk air.  I like the crochet edging.  Did you do a reverse single crochet on that part?  Very cute and just enough boyish.
